The name. The mountain. Wright Mtn is situated right off Snoqualmie Pass, just NW of Snow Lake. With trail to two alpine lakes (Snow and Gem), and then a boot path to the summit, Wright is a nice little summer excursion. However in the winter with skis on it can be quickly done and linked with a few extra runs or with other peaks in the area. Wright is part of a great, accessible area for a quick excursion.
The Beer. Wright is our interpretation of a Belgian Wit beer (the style Hoegaarden made famous). Wit beers have a distinct character stemming from unmalted wheat. In contrast, Wright was brewed with several different types of malt, and has more of a malted wheat character. The explicit character of Wright comes from the bitter orange, brewing spices, and yeast that we used during the boil and fermentation. This resulted in a citrus and slightly spicy character on top of the cloudy wheat base. With the bitter orange, there is also a slight perception of some sour notes, making it a great refreshing style for a summer afternoon.
ABV: 4.75% Malts: Wheat, flaked wheat, Pils, Honey, aromatic, flaked oats. Belgian wit yeast.
