Washington microbrewery license
Phone tag with the WSLCB continued this week but we finally connected for the interview process on Wed. More of an informational conversation than an interview. The investigator just asked me about such things as tied breweries/establishments, access to the brewery, tasting rooms, if there were any other owners, and some other questions so they can figure out which forms are required for me.
Ten minutes later I get a “packet” in the email requesting:
LLC form
Personal criminal statement
Copy of the lease
Financial Statement (for me)
Outline of costs
Source of Funds
Tied house participation statement
Letter of intent
Copy of my TTB permit Ap
Signed form that virtually says “I will pay my taxes”
Floor plans.
Very similar to what the feds asked for, so I did a lot of copying and reusing. I just wish they would use the same forms so I could just photocopy them. I also found it interesting that WA cared more about making sure that I had the $$$ for start up and operations. The TTB, I guess did but did it via requiring a bond?
So that package got sent this morning, once approved, I’ll have to send them my approved Brewers notice (TTB), meet with the local liquor authorities for rules and regulations – where I’ll figure out the best way to legally deliver to you all – and have an inspection.
Now to try to get on the TTB’s radar and finish this process!
Hope to be pouring soon.
Cheers!
