Triumph 2011

Along with our party at Naked City, we also brewed up a small batch of special beer for our anniversary.  We’ll let the label describe the mountain, the route, the beer. After a little more than a year in business, we’re still having a blast and owe much of that to our awesome customers.  It [...]

Picket Porter

The name. The mountain (range). The rugged Picket Range is located in the North Cascades National Park and so named for its resemblance to a picket fence… The Beer. We attempted to make picket porter a perfect partner to the Snowfield winter: A very flavorful beer but yet easy drinking with a lower alcohol content. It is very drinkable and has a lower alcohol content that would be similar to the historical versions of the entires…

Snowfield Winter 2011

The name. The mountain. With a name like Snowfield, we couldn’t resist naming our winter beer after it. …Washington’s 90th highest peak, it stands 6,500′ above the Pyramid Lake trailhead with multiple ‘ups and downs’ and glaciers en route… The Beer. This is our second season of the Snowfield. We made this year’s version based on previous batches, but changing things up to hit a new season. … a slightly more bitter and hop forward beer that is nicely balanced by the chocolaty, sweet malt backbone and higher alcohol %.

Enchantment Ale, a saison

The mountain. The enchantments are a string of alpine lakes just outside of Leavenworth…. The beer. Enchantment ale is a saison, a style that is categorized as a ‘farmhouse ale….’ but these styles also have a nice fruity notes (apple and pear), with a slight perception of sweetness…

Kyes Kolsch

The mountain. Kyes Peak is a lesser known peak located in the Monte Cristo group… The beer. Our interpretation is light, refreshing, and contains some fruity notes from the yeast fermentation on top of a very bready backbone.

Ingalls Ginger

The mountain: Ingalls is situated at the end of the Teanaway river road rising out of headlight basin just south of Mt. Stuart… The Beer. Ingalls ginger is a ginger ale, but not one for the kids. Ingalls features ginger flavor and aroma on top of a backbone that is best described as a pale…

Eldorado Pale Ale

The mountain: Eldorado is a majestic mountain and is the 25th tallest peak in the state. It is situated close to Cascade pass, a very popular destination at the end of the Cascade River road… The Beer. We tried to make a pale ale with a light malt backbone and nice bitterness that would support and balance an unmistakably emphasized hop aroma and flavor…

Colonial Common

The mountain: Colonial mountain is en route to Snowfield mountain (the namesake of our winter ale). It doesn’t reach into the top 100 highest Washington peaks, but that doesn’t detract from its beauty… The Beer. Our Colonial Common is brewed with 100% Northern Brewer Leaf hops for bittering, flavor, and aroma, but only to a moderate level ….

Red Alt

The mountain. The namesake for this beer is at the end of Commonwealth basin near Snoqualmie pass…. The Beer. This red is an alt, a close cousin to the kolsch style. Red alt has a pretty red hue and is clean and very drinkable and is a good example of the style…

Lichtenberg dunkelweizen

The mountain. Lichtenberg mountain is situated just off of the PCT overlooking Hwy 2 east of Steven’s pass. Lichtenberg rises from the shores of Lake Valhalla, a deservedly popular day hike or snowshoe destination… The Beer. We brewed this German style with the typical amounts of wheat and munich malts, and added a little chocolate malt to give it some color and add some darker essence…
